Views of Munich

We went to the big, outdoor food market today.  It has a wonderful Maypole in the middle. There were some specialty stands with beautiful displays.

We saw some ladies with tiny Santa hat fascinators who were all eating pickles that were bigger than their hats.

We visited the Residence Museum.  It was huge, gorgeous, and very opulent.  We took the short tour, only 30 rooms, and they were quite lovely.

We loved the Sea Grotto, where the walls were covered in mosaics and sculptures made entirely of shells.

We saw a statue that looked just like Voldemort.

The collection of jewels was astounding.

We followed it up with a visit to an adorable little Christmas Market where everything was cute, even the trash cans.

Dad found a cute little statue.  Apparently you rub its nose for luck, but he stuck his finger in its mouth instead.  Typical Dad!
